Technical Architect III

Summary

Understands the desired outcomes and requirements of the business and translates those into technology solutions, serving as a liaison between technical teams and management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs and develops digital architecture (integrated processes, applications, data, and technologies) solutions for new products/services, applications, and service offerings to support current software/platforms and Digital transformation.
  • Performs technical planning, architecture development, and creation/modification of specifications.
  • Develops the technical architecture of their domain area, with input from senior architects as well as the enterprise architect
  • Contributes toward creating, maintaining, and marketing the architectural vision and direction for their domain
  • Provides technical guidance to other team members; has a broad understanding of technology delivery and its impact on the business
  • Develops and documents architecture patterns, stacks, models, and/or technical specifications
  • Leads and collaborates with software engineers/application developers/integration analysts as needed, as well as with other solution architects to design and implement changes to the environment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or business. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant architecture experience
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with 11+ or more years of relevant architecture experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • Solid understanding of end-user computes architecture and technology concepts.
  • Extensive technical background experience with Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android endpoint operating systems.
  • Demonstrates solid capability in the use of common information architecture frameworks (like TOGAF) and information models.
  • Demonstrates a bias towards action and with a user experience-centric vision related to the evolution of the endpoint technology stack to achieve business capabilities based on requirements.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft (Azure AD/Intune/SCCM/MEM) and VMware (WS1/UEM/Horizon) EUC platforms for best practice design methodologies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade virtualization technology (VDI and vApps).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology to assist in consulting of shift left operational readiness activities.
